LBDV-UMR7009 pursues several missions: scientific research, teaching and scientific mediation. The LBDV is organized into 7 teams studying fundamental aspects of cellular and developmental biology, including EVO-DEVO-ECO aspects. Several marine invertebrates (e.g. jellyfish, sea urchins, solitary or colonial ascidians) are used to investigate various processes such as the cell cycle, cell fate, embryonic architecture and regeneration.
