Sediment Trap is a National Analysis Service (CNRS/INSU) for particulate samples from particle traps, mesocosms and minicosms deployed in scientific and observation projects. The aim is to determine the flux and composition of exported matter.

The Institut de la Mer and its supervisory bodies are actively involved in the French Year of the Sea and UNOC’3. As at the One Ocean Science Congress, they will take part in scientific exchanges and associated events.
The « Sciences-sur-Mer » Festival (7–13 June, Villefranche-sur-Mer) will strengthen the link between science and society by offering opportunities for dialogue among stakeholders and welcoming both the general public and schoolchildren.
