technological equipment, enabling the observation of samples (fixed and living) using photonic (confocal, epifluorescence) and electron (environmental scanning) microscopy techniques.<br \/>In quantitative imaging, instruments are specifically designed and developed at the Institute (ZooScan and FlowCam, Underwater Vison Profiler), capable of identifying planktonic objects and organisms (between 20 \u00b5m and a few centimetres in size) using automated identification tools
